Pulsed Light Photofacials--Pulsed light treatment spreads light over the skin . The light is absorbed by pigment in sunspots and blood in visible vessels and is converted to heat. The heat dissolves the cells that creates the pigment and shrinks the vessel. Any area of the body, except directly around the eyes can be treated. The face, neck, chest, arms, back, and legs can all be treated. The treatment consists of the provider moving the handpiece over your skin, pulsing it all the while. Each pulse will send a beam of light through your skin.

Immediately after the treatment, you can expect a mild sunburn like sensation, possibly accompanied by some minor swelling. This usually lasts 2-24 hours, and can be soothed by cold gel or ice packs.

Sunspots will darken after treatment and naturally shed from the skin within 1 - 2 weeks. If you have rosacea, skin tone will be more normal, with less pronounced redness within a week of treatment. Spider veins may disappear after treatment or they may appear darker and then fully or partially fade within 10 - 14 days. Typically, several treatments are necessary to achieve complete clearance of sunspots, rosacea, and vessels.

Leg Vein Treatment--Our Palomar Lux1064 delivers remarkable results in the removal of spider veins.  During the treatment, your provider will move the Lux1064 hand piece over the skin, following the length of the vein, pulsing it all the while.  Each pulse sends a beam of light through the skin.  The heat of the blood affects the vessel lining, which causes the vessel to constrict and eventually disappear
