Dr. John Cox is a native of North Louisiana and was born and raised in West Monroe, Louisiana. He earned undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Louisiana Tech University before attending medical school in Shreveport, where he also completed his residency training
in Family Medicine.
During his final year of residency, Dr. Cox was selected as Chief Resident, reflecting his dedication to patient care, leadership, and excellence in medicine.
Dr. Cox has a special interest in diabetes management, weight loss and lifestyle medicine, and a variety of in-office procedures. He is passionate about helping patients achieve their health goals through personalized, evidence-based care and long-term wellness strategies.
Dr. Cox and his wife, Emily, are excited to call this community home. Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, and cheering on the LSU Tigers.
Dr. Cox is thrilled to join The Family Doctors and looks forward to providing compassionate, comprehensive care while continuing to serve the people of Northwest Louisiana.
